Terms of Service
Last updated: October 6, 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
This website, goodcompanyit.com, and the free assessments, tools and resources we offer through it, including the quiz at quiz.goodcompanyit.com (together, the "Site"), are operated by Good Company I.T. Consulting LLC ("Good Company", "we", "us"), a Florida limited liability company, 1055 S. Federal Hwy, Hollywood, Florida 33020, United States. Contact: goco@goodcompanyit.com.
These Terms govern your use of the Site. Before you use any assessment, tool or resource that collects your information, you will be asked to confirm that you agree to them (see section 3). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. The Site and our assessments and tools are intended for adults and business users. If you use the Site on behalf of a company, you confirm that you may bind that company.
2. The Site is informational; our services are provided under separate agreements
The Site gives general information about Good Company and its services. Nothing on the Site is an offer, a quote, a commitment or professional, legal or security advice for your specific situation.
Our I.T. and cybersecurity services are provided only under a separate written agreement signed with each client, which sets out the scope, conditions, fees and responsibilities of the service. If anything on the Site differs from that agreement, the agreement prevails.
3. Free assessments, tools and resources
We offer free assessments and tools, such as our readiness quiz. To use them you may be asked for your name, email address, company and industry. You agree to provide accurate information.
- Acceptance. Before you use an assessment or tool, we ask you to confirm that you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy & Cookie Policy. You do this either by checking a box that says "I agree to the Terms of Service", or by clicking a button placed next to a clearly visible statement that clicking it means you agree, with visible links to both documents. You do not need to do this to read the rest of the Site.
- Results are informational. They are based only on the answers you give, are general in nature, and are not a security audit, a certification, a compliance opinion or legal advice. We do not guarantee that following them will prevent incidents or meet any legal or contractual requirement. Results should not be used as the sole basis for cybersecurity, compliance, legal or business decisions.
- We may change, suspend or discontinue any assessment, tool or resource at any time.
- Your data. We use your information as described in our Privacy & Cookie Policy and our Política de Tratamiento de Datos Personales.
- Newsletter. Receiving updates from us is optional and separate from using the tool. You choose it with its own checkbox and can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Using the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and in good faith. You must not:
- try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems or other people's data, or interfere with the Site's security or operation;
- introduce malicious code, or overload the Site with automated requests;
- copy or collect content from the Site by automated means (such as scraping) without our written permission, except for ordinary search-engine indexing or automated access expressly permitted by us or by our robots.txt file;
- impersonate another person or company, or submit information that is false or misleading;
- send us passwords or sensitive information through our forms.
We may suspend or restrict access to the Site for anyone who breaks these Terms or puts the Site at risk.
5. Intellectual property
The Site, including its text, articles, graphics, design, software and the names and logos of Good Company, belongs to Good Company or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. "Good Company™", "Good Company I.T.™" and our logos are trademarks of Good Company.
You may view the Site and share links to it. You may quote short parts of our articles with a clear credit and a link to the original page. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use requires our written permission.
6. Links and third-party services
The Site contains links to, and uses, services run by others, for example scheduling a meeting through an external calendar or following us on social networks. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
7. Accuracy of information
We try to keep the Site accurate and current, but articles and other content are general information and may become outdated. We do not promise that the Site is complete, error-free or uninterrupted.
8. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Good Company and its owners, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any assessment, tool or resource. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed US$100. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This section does not apply to services provided under a separate written agreement, which sets its own terms.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy & Cookie Policy and our Política de Tratamiento de Datos Personales explain how we collect, use and protect personal information.
11. Changes
We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the "Last updated" date. Material changes will become effective after reasonable notice. Where appropriate, we may ask you to accept the updated Terms again before you use an assessment or tool. Changes do not apply retroactively to uses of the Site, or to claims, that arose before they took effect.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, which will have exclusive jurisdiction and venue, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here removes rights that you cannot waive under the mandatory law of the place where you live.
13. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the whole agreement between you and Good Company about your use of the Site. They do not replace any separate written services agreement, which is governed by its own terms. The English and Spanish versions of these Terms are intended to have the same meaning. For users who accept these Terms in Spanish, the Spanish version applies, without prejudice to any mandatory rules that apply.
